Who we are
Burco Volunteers is a dynamic youth-led organization dedicated to advancing community
development in the city of Burao and contributing to the future progress and sustainable
development of Somaliland. It is the first organization established in Burao with a global
vision, aspiring to become the leading volunteer movement recognized both nationally
and internationally and to join the ranks of respected volunteer organizations in the horn
of Africa.
The organization provides a platform that unites ambitious young people who are
committed to creating meaningful change through volunteerism, innovation,
collaboration, and community service.
Burco Volunteers believes that young people are the driving force behind sustainable
social transformation. Accordingly, the organization creates opportunities for youth to
develop their skills, demonstrate their talents, and actively contribute to building a
stronger, more prosperous, and inclusive society.
